Ascent Homes is a locally owned home-building company founded by Sam Bond, a US Marine Corps veteran. Sam is a state licensed Certified Building Contractor and possesses over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, with over 15 of those years being in the state of Florida. As a smaller, luxury semi-custom and custom home builder in the Palm Coast and St Augustine areas, we can offer a level of personal service and accessibility that larger production builders simply can’t match.
With extensive experience as a former corporate executive in the engineered wood and concrete industries, an MBA, Six Sigma continuous improvement training and a former Marine Corps infantry officer; Sam brings discipline, integrity and a deep industry knowledge to every project. For potential customers, this translates to a more efficient and quick build time without sacrificing quality.
In addition, Sam has been trained by one of the leading building scientists in the world and has trained thousands of builders, architects, code officials and engineers on proper building and framing techniques, energy efficiency and water intrusion prevention. He puts that knowledge to use in each of the homes he builds.
Sam is currently on the Board of Directors for the Home Builders Association of Flagler County. Additionally, he serves as a Builder Director on the Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) Membership Board of Directors, representing the Flagler Home Builders Association. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA and obtained his MBA from the University of Tennessee.
Sam and his wife are residents of St. Augustine, where two of their children attend school and the third child is a student at the University of Florida
